๐Ÿงต StitchGrid

Your cross-stitch patterns are PDFs. Stitch them on your iPad โ€” tap cells as you go, never lose your place, everything offline.

What it does

๐Ÿ“„ Import your own PDFs

The chart you bought is the chart you stitch. No special formats, no conversion services.

๐Ÿ” Automatic grid detection

StitchGrid finds the stitch grid in your chart. You confirm it once before you start.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Pixel-true charts

You see the designer's actual chart, not a re-drawing. Every symbol looks exactly like print.

๐ŸŽฏ Symbol highlight

Tap a color in the legend โ€” every remaining stitch of that thread lights up, with live counts.

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Paint mode

Drag across the chart to mark whole runs of stitches in one stroke.

๐Ÿ”’ Completely private

No account, no cloud, no tracking. Works with the internet switched off.

How it works

  1. Import a chart PDF from the Files app.
  2. Check the detected grid โ€” blue lines must sit on the printed grid. Nudge if needed, confirm.
  3. Stitch: tap cells to mark them done, highlight symbols, watch your progress grow.

Progress saves instantly and survives anything. Put a project down for six months โ€” it will be waiting exactly where you left it.

Pricing

$9.99 once. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Support โ€” common questions

Which charts work?

Born-digital PDF charts โ€” the kind designers export from pattern software (most purchased PDF patterns). Scanned or photographed paper charts are not supported in this version; StitchGrid tells you honestly at import instead of guessing wrong.

My chart didn't import. What now?

Email me the PDF (if its license allows sharing) and I'll investigate โ€” real charts that defeat the importer are exactly what I want to fix. You'll get an answer either way.

What devices does it need?

iPad or iPhone running iOS 16 or later. It's designed iPad-first; the iPhone version is fully functional for stitching on the go.

Do my patterns ever leave my device?

No. Imported PDFs are copied into the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. There is no server.

How do I back up my progress?

Your patterns and marks are included in your normal device backup (iCloud or computer backup). Deleting a project inside the app deletes its copy of the PDF.

Multi-page patterns?

Yes โ€” full-size charts and magnified section pages both work, with a page switcher in the stitching view.
